It is based on online surveys conducted among Manufacturers, Retailers, Wholesalers \/ Distributors \/ Co-operatives and Third Party Logistics Providers who have a basic familiarity (rated 2-5 on a 5-point scale) with \u201cbig data\u201d (n=179).<\/span><br \/>\n<span><strong>Objective: <\/strong>To understand how supply chain leaders are thinking about and building capabilities to harness big data. \u201cBig data\u201d is defined as \u201cextremely large data sets that enable companies to sense, analyze and better respond to market changes.\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<span><strong>Highlight: <\/strong>Eighteen percent of respondents reported having a big data initiative already, with another 25% planning to get one, within 3 years on average.
